Cloudy dusk in the forest. Carpets of ferns always attract my attention but I’ve yet to figure out a perspective that I’m really happy with.

May have to work at the subject a little more seriously. Add “get a good fern carpet image” to the long list of projects, I suppose.

I’m increasingly running into other photographers. Maybe partly because the population here has grown a lot in the last few years, but I think there is some renewed interest in the discipline / hobby. This evening, I saw a guy with a SLR/mirrorless setup and a strobe doing inexplicable stuff, blowing vape clouds onto the water surface and shooting with strobe, among other things. We gave each other a wide berth and didn’t talk - an unspoken agreement to tend to our own respective endeavours without distraction.
