Woke up early. Looked outside; clear. Decided to commit and head to the hilltop in the hopes of getting a view of the comet. Cloud obscuring the horizon and/or bright city lights - no glimpse. But I was up early, so took a few shots, took a sample of what Jupiter would look like in a 500mm lens (answer: tiny, but with just a hint of cloud bands on the planet with the right exposure, and moons visible with a bit more light let in), then headed to Cattle Point for sunrise. Clouds had really taken over - got a view of Mt. Rainier through the slight break in the cloud cover.
